Al Hijama Cupping Therapy (Male & Female Therapist Available) Company Information
General information
Hijama is an Arabic word meaning 'sucking or vacuum'. Originally Hijama was known as 'cupping' because of the use of cups as therapeutic tools. Hijama therapy is vastly beneficial to all human beings and if it was not, Prophet ﷺ would not have recommended it to his nation. He placed such high importance on it and advised Muslims to use it as “cure for themselves”. Cuppers throughout time and western, modern scientists accept that there are huge advantages to cupping. It is a cheap, effective, safe method of using your own body to prevent, heal and cure itself of illnesses, aches, pains and diseases. It is deeply relaxing and therapeutic for the patient. It boosts the immune system, detoxifies the body, improves blood circulation, removes blood stasis, heals and strengthens all internal organs, improves the skin condition and gives an automatic deep tissue massage. There are massive benefits achieved from cupping. Indeed, there are even more if Hijama is practiced in accordance to the Sunnah. It can potentially cure all diseases if the person eats well, exercises, thinks positively and prays in conjunction with regular Hijama therapy. By the will of Allah SWT It has immediate and long term effects.
There are three different types of Cupping:
Moving cupping – This is the process where we keep the cups moving with the aid of oil. This is immensely relaxing and invigorating. Moving Cupping can be administered at any time and as much as the patient likes. Moving Cupping is beneficial for conditions like eczema and acne. It is used to prevent muscle atrophy, and promotes local blood circulation to supply more oxygen, hormones and enzymes to tissues and joints. This, in turn nourishes local nerves and cells to keep local tissues warm and increase elasticity and flexibility of muscles and joints. This method relieves muscular pain by relaxing muscle fibers and increasing blood circulation. It is also used to treat neurological conditions, such as numbness and post‐stroke weakness.
Dry cupping - This is the process where the cups are placed on the body with suction however, unlike “Wet Cupping” (Hijama) blood is not removed from the skin. The suction of the cups draws toxic substances to the skins surface and causes congestions. Thus, it stimulates blood and lymph circulation around the body. The flesh is sucked in to the cup and left to promote blood circulation. This in turn, releases stagnant energy and re‐energizes the patient. The techniques used create different levels of pressure for the patient, depending upon their strength, health, specific illness, energy level & age.
Wet cupping (Hijama) - This is the process where the cups are placed on the body with suction (dry cupping) then small scratches to the superficial layers of the skin are made under the cup with a surgical blade which stimulates blood to rise to the surface. This is toxic, unhealthy, stagnant blood and uric acid which needs to be released from the body. If it stays in the bloodstream, it hinders the rest of the blood supply, organ functions and other bodily systems. It causes new illnesses or makes a sick person even unhealthier. This is the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ and this is called Hijama.
