Mark Pearson Artist Company Information
General information
Mark Pearson is a national award winning contemporary figurative artist that has been exhibiting his work in galleries and shows since graduating from the world renowned Royal Academy of Art where he was tutored by a host of distinguished painters - Sir Roger de Grey, Peter Greenham, Sir Hugh Casson and Ruskin Spear.
His paintings and drawings are characterised by compositions where the human figure is present; the key elements in his pictures are light, space and movement - working in a variety of different mediums including oils, acrylic, watercolours, chalk, pen and ink.
Although his painting is influenced and rooted in the tradition of figurative painting (Caravaggio, Goya, Turner, Degas, Sickert and Hopper) Mark’s work is nonetheless contemporary - people interacting with each other in public places (and sometimes, not so) form the basis of his inspiration.
Based in South East’s London’s vibrate district of Peckham, Marks art has a truly national and international appeal, with a growing number of private collectors and corporate patrons throughout the world.
