Counselling is an investment in ourselves. Unlike our cars, which get a service every year and require a certificate to be safe on the road, we are allowed to run ourselves into the ground and prioritise everything else before our own health.
I believe that investing in counselling /therapy as an early intervention can promote good health and pre-empt deeper and more damaging mental health states.
Often a course of 6-8 weeks therapy can produce lasting change and promote good health whether you are feeling a little bit low or deeply distressed.
