General information

At Great Ellingham Preschool, we believe in creating an environment in which all children can grow and develop. We have specialist early years equipment and trained staff to provide preschool education of a high standard for children from 2 years to school age in a stimulating and caring environment.

Our ethos is learning through play with a strong emphasis on the social and emotional aspects of development. Learning should be fun, and we aim to mix plenty of creative, imaginative and physical play with the more specific skills involved in preparation for reading, writing and number work.

We aim to give each child the opportunity to develop and thrive during their time at Preschool, creating the beginning of their journey into education.

As a preschool, we aim to:

- Offer a wide range of stimulating activites

- Allocate every child a key person who will work closely with parents/carers to ensure we meet each child's individual needs

- Create opportunities for the children to initiate play based on their own interests

- Help to develop each child's social skills

- Regularly update our training and skills to ensure we deliver the best learning opportunities and to keep up to date with changing Government legislation and policies.
