Lenzie Tennis Club Company Information
General information
Lenzie Tennis Club was started in 1888 by enthusiastic members of the Lenzie Cricket Club, becoming Lenzie Cricket and Tennis Club. In 1901 the flourishing tennis section broke away from the cricket section and became Lenzie Tennis Club as it is still known today.
The 20th Century :
Lenzie was one of the first clubs to affiliate to the West of Scotland LTA in 1905.
The Present Day:
Tennis is now played all year round, under floodlights in the dark evenings, and there are many different teams taking part in the West of Scotland Tennis Leagues, with mini tennis also being part of the league for the very young players.
We welcome new members all year round of every standard, from beginners of all ages, to juniors and adults wishing to compete in our teams.
