The Tōukon Academy Company Information
General information
The Tōukon Academy was founded in 2000 and our pedigree lies in coaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Classes are taken by head coach David Webb who is a Black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Nicolas Gregoriades and a black belt in Judo with the British Judo Association.
As a founder member of the ‘Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Schools’ initiative the Toukon Academy is proud to be the largest single provider of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to school children (aged 5-9 years) across the United Kingdom.
Creating a functional environment through core movements and fundamental learning patterns is paramount to the development of everyone training with the Toukon Academy. Everything taught on our mats is applicable to the sporting arena as well as a self-defence environment.
Training at the Toukon Academy is always hard and taken seriously; however, we always maintain a professional, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. New members are important to us and are always made to feel welcome, no matter what your age, level of fitness or experience level, at the Toukon Academy there is a class that will benefit you as an individual.
