BAWE Scotland's page has been set up as a forum to tell new potential members about us, that we exist and that we are an ideal networking forum for growing and large female entrepreneurs. If you know someone tell them about our page and let them get in touch to try a meeting for themselves. We allow anyone who has a business of their own that employs staff and earns upwards of £100,000 a year. If you are in a start up phase then our mission statement and incorporation rules allow for a small number but numbers are restricted.
BAWE was founded in 1954 as a non-profit professional organization for women entrepreneurs. The British branch is affiliated with a vast international network known as Les Femmes Chefs d’Enterprises Mondiales (FCEM). FCEM was started in 1946 by French Industrialist Madam Yvonne Foinant. The organization began to expand internationally in 1960 and now has branches in thirty countries and a worldwide membership of over 30,000. The British Association is represented on the World Council by the British President. See www.bawe-uk.com
