I offer face to face nutrition consultations to people that live within a 20-30 mile radius of Weston-super-Mare. I have a clinic available, but I do offer home visits as part of my service. I am very flexible with appointments and can be available during evenings and weekends.

Areas of nutrition I specialise in include weight management, diabetes control, lowering blood pressure, lowering cholesterol, improving bone health and many others. I am particularly keen to hear from people that want to lose weight and keep it off permanently. Maybe you have tried numerous diets in the past and have now realised that healthy eating and increasing physical activity is the way forward.

Initial consultations last for approximately 90 minutes and follow-up consultations last for about 60 minutes. I also offer group consultations for between 4-10 people for approximately 90 minutes.

During the consultation, we will go over a nutrition assessment questionnaire, discuss your typical food intake and physical activity levels and agree on set targets for you to aim for. After the consultation, I can work on a meal plan for you, depending on your food preferences. The meal plan will include information on standard food portion sizes and the calorie contents of these portions. The plan is intended for you to use in the long-term, but you may want to have it updated after you have lost 1/2 stone in order to assess what you can do in order to achieve further weight loss.

In addition, we can discuss an exercise programme as increased physical activity is just as important for keeping weight off as healthy eating. As part of a follow-up consultation, I can carry out a full nutritional analysis of a food diary that you provide. The nutritional analysis will show any particular nutrients, vitamins and minerals that you may be lacking and improvements can therefore be suggested to enhance the nutritional quality of your diet.
