Tom's Kickboxing Academy

General information

TKA standing for Tom's Kick boxing Academy is a martial arts academy specialising in kick boxing, self defence and fitness training.

Started 5 years ago by Mr Tom Oldridge a 3rd Dan Black Belt who has been doing the sport for 10 years and teaching for 7 of those years.

Tom, who has taught and trained at 3 different martial arts clubs through his martial arts career so far. When he was student studying at College he obtained a degree in sports science time a level 2 fitness instructor/sports coach qualification.

Students can join TKA from 5 years and upwards and are the classes are suited for all ages and abilities. TKA has been has been in operation since June 2012 and has gone from 2 students to 2 worlds champions in different, two venues and two after school clubs.

We have 2 venues.
Venue 1: Shipdham Pavillion Centre (TKA Hub)

Tuesday's and Thursday 6pm-7pm (Sparring) 7pm-8.15pm (Kickboxing Training)

Venue 2: Sporle Community Centre (Starting 2nd May)

Sporle runs on consecutive Wednesday's.
Week 1: 6pm-7pm Mixed Session
Week 2: 7pm-8pm

The main objective of TKA is to give people the chance to achieve a black belt with the help of regular assessments and training to progress through the grades.
