General information

Red Tape Music Academy was set up and is currently run by myself, Stuart Magowan.

I specialise in Guitar,Bass Guitar and Music Theory lessons ( L.C.M Syllabus )

Along side this I also offer 1-1 Music Technology and composition tuition using the latest industry standard software ( Ableton Live 9 ) and Garage Band.

I have been involved in the music scene in Northern Ireland for over 20 years and continue to work as a professional musician and tutor within the Industry.

As a musician,performer and writer I have worked with acts such as Cashier no 9,Kid Dynamo and Corrigan.

I have also worked with internationally renowned artists such as David Holmes and Phil Kieran.

As well as running the academy, I teach in local schools,work with youth groups,the Princess Trust and run music technology and songwriting workshops.

I have toured and played shows with bands such as Snow Patrol/Two door Cinema Club/Air/Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Paul Weller to name a few.

I have performed at festivals such as Glastonbury/Electric Picnic/Oxygen/SXSW festival/ Postivus Festival and many more.

Lessons run from Bank House 135 Albertbrigde Road BT5 4PS

Slots run from 9am - 7pm Monday -Sunday

Lessons are priced at £10 per 30 min session and £20 per hourly session.

Guitar and Bass tuition – ( Beginners – Intermediate - advanced)

Teaching all aspects of Guitar and Bass playing such as Harmony, theory and sight reading.

Rhythm and Groove techniques through to composing and soloing.

Teaching Rock school syllabus

Teaching song writing development and compositional skills.

Learn how to write, record and produce your own song/demo.

All lessons are on a 1-1 basis

Access NI clearance approved.
