Art Works

General information

With the aim of providing a safe environment for adults with learning disabilities that aids development so they can reach their full potential through visual and performing arts. The Art Works Gallery will offer a unique service that will help promote key life skills and offer encouragement into employment whilst impacting positively on the surrounding community through social interactions and citywide art projects. Art Works offers a day service based around the exploration and creation of art and media in an art hub. Art Works will be different to any other service, as we will create a nationally and internationally recognised Art and Media by people with learning disabilities that will put South Yorkshire on the map. We work with artists and filmmakers from all over the country to provide workshops for our service users, which leads to the production of show stopping exhibitions that generate interest from both the public and industry professionals.
