Edina Hibs Company Information
General information
The club was started in 1965 to nurture football talent for Hibernian FC. The founding members were Harry O'Neal and Jimmy McManus.
Jimmy McManus later went on to become Hibernian FC's chief scout.
Players such as Alex Cropley, John Brownlie, Keith Wright and John (Yogi) Hughes have come through the Edina ranks to join Hibernian FC, whilst names such as John Roberson and Christopher Berra enjoyed successful careers at Hearts.
Edina Hibs have had their home at Jewel Park since the sixties where they have been supported by the Jewel Miners welfare club, the owners of Jewel Park and the Edina Hibs clubrooms. This has given Edina a strong sense of identity locally and strong support with the people of East Edinburgh.
Many honours have been won by Edina Hibs over the years and both players and club supporters have taken great pride in playing and supporting the green and white of Edina Hibs.
