Rainbow Handlooms provides a range of high-quality handloom products and handmade gifts all handcrafted in villages in Sri Lanka.
By working closely with the local craftspeople to produce products of the highest standard and quality, we give them the opportunity to earn Fair Trade wages, whilst supplying the international market with products from Sri Lanka's textile industry. 10% of our profits goes towards the education of the craftspeople's children.
Our handloom products are made from 100% Kapok (Ceiba Pentandra) cotton fabric on a handloom - a simple hand operated machine used for weaving. Made from natural yarns which are hand-dyed and eco-friendly, our products are designed in the UK in order to match the requirements of western buyers.
Our handloom range includes shoulder bags, handbags, tote bags, purses, tablemats and placemats, serviettes, curtains, cushion covers and soft toys.
