Kingfisher Preschool

General information

Kingfisher pre-school opened in 1967 and has always been housed at Queen Street Church hall. Many of the practitioners have a Christian background and this influence is filtered into the curriculum and through out the care children receive. The
preschool is owned and operated by Kingfisher Management Committee with a rector from Broadwater Parish as its chairperson. In 2009 the preschool achieved charity status. Kingfisher Preschool is registered with West Sussex County Council and the Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership and is regularly inspected by Ofsted, to ensure the quality of provision provided is good.

We operate on a term time only basis and follow closely the term times set by West Sussex County Council. The preschool may also close for Inset Days for staff training and development.

Kingfisher Preschool at Queen Street is opened four days a week from 9:15am - 2.15pm (Closed Wednesday).

Session times are:
Morning only – 9:15-11:45am
Afternoon only – 11:45am to 2:15pm, bring a packed lunch
All day – 9:15am to 2:15pm , bring a packed lunch.

Children can start at Kingfisher Preschool at the age of 2 and we accept the 2, 3 &4 year old free entitlement.
