TJILI Company Information
General information
TJILI is a young artist known for her vibrant paintings, mixing bold lines with swirling watercolours to create intense, memorable artworks featuring her favourite creatures, characters and places from around the world.
TJILI has cerebral palsy, is profoundly deaf and cannot speak. Every stroke that TJILI puts to paper is testament to her creativity, determination, and the great effort she makes to overcome her challenges. TJILI is #DifferentlyAbled, not disabled.
TJILI's work is fast becoming recognised. Her art graces public and private collections around the world and two pieces were selected by the Royal Watercolour Society to be exhibited at the 2017 RWS Contemporary Watercolour exhibition in London following their annual competition to find the world’s leading contemporary watercolour artists.
Sponsorships, crowdfunding contributions, and profits from the sale of TJILI's art and gifts support her ongoing personal development including art tuition and materials, education and specialist therapies, and our goal of establishing a small studio / art gallery (“The Tjillery”).
Our longer-term vision and hope is for The Tjillery to become a community platform (offline studios / galleries and online digital hub / artist business solution) that helps other artists – particularly those who are also #DifferentlyAbled – to develop their art skills, promote awareness, and sell their work.
