About Us
Trans Aware became the first registered charity in the North East of England, specifically aimed towards the needs of Transgender and Non-Binary people on the 24th of March 2017. Our home which is based at Gloucester House in the heart of Stockton-on-Tees was officially opened by Channel 5 news presenter, India Willoughby in May 2017.
Ley Miller and Ellie Lowther are the foundation trustees of Trans Aware. Their vision is to see all who are affected by gender identity issues feel supported in the Tees Valley and East Cleveland area.
Trans Aware provides a wide range of support that includes advocacy, awareness and community development.
