PetroMed is a medical company that provides health care services through a group of medical professional to all kind of companies and organization (Industrial and non-industrial) inside Kurdistan region of Iraq.

PetroMed provides petroleum medical services to all Oil and Gas companies by providing good health care and safety to all employees who work there. We do pre-employment medical investigation for all kind of employees to decide he is fit to his nature of work or not. We also provide occupational Health Services by doing regular periodic employment check up to find out any risk and complication that employees get it from his work.

PetroMed provides a safe and healthy work environment for all employees who work at Oil and Gas companies. As part of this process, PetroMed will do Pre-Employment Health Assessment (PEHA) through an international guideline for all employees who keen to work at Oil and Gas field in order to decide that the potential employee is fit to his nature of work .

The primary purpose of this fitness for work assessment is to ensure that prospective employee is fit to perform the task involved effectively and without risk to their own or to others health and safety. Therefore this health assessment must take into consideration the work environment and the work factors, together with the implications of working on a remote site.

Major Health risk will be identified by regularly checking up employees by doing Occupational Health services intermittently and regularly to Oil and Gas field and to all employees who work there.

Specific occupational exposure assessments will be based upon the type of workplace exposure the prospective employee may encounter. For the purpose of the pre-employment health assessments, occupations have been classified into the following groups:

Administrative Role (Office based only)

Site based-Plant (Potential exposure to noise, chemicals, dust etc)

Site Based-Camp (Minimal exposure to noise. Potential exposure to heat, chemicals, dust etc)

Site Based-Specific Health Requirement (e.g. Food handlers )
