Community Models
Individuals and communities have infinite potential.
We understand that the context within which people live will influence their wellbeing and life chances. It affects their stability, mobility, security and confidence.
In the past, the family, street or neighbourhood provided support. In many instances, such building blocks of community have been lost.
We aim to change that through the provision of employment, shelter, learning and care. Most importantly, by supporting people to live sustainably as active members of their own communities.

What we do
In its simplest sense, we aim to create additional capacity in the delivery of public services. We use this capacity to deliver efficiencies and to create jobs for local people. We prefer the latter but we understand the need to reach the right balance. The additional capacity allows our clients to ‘top up’ their services, improving the direct experiences of their customers and increasing their ability to meet their stated objectives.

Our delivery partner role in practice

Our approach may vary from client to client, but typically involves

-Scoping the need and potential for increased capacity within a given service in a chosen area
-Establishing the desired balance between cashable efficiency and additional employment with the client
-Scoping the community employment solution and designing the commercial and financial foundations for the model in the local context
-Retrofitting the community employment model through the current service to release capacity/cost for additional employment
-Identifying and engaging with the additional staff resource, and providing associated readiness for work support
-Maintaining the community employment element of the model and extending employment to new recruits during the delivery period.
