From a Portobello Rd stall to the glossy pages of Vogue, meet one of Britain’s most exciting young milliners…

In her twenties and searching for great hats to wear, Bundle was struck by the distinct lack of stylish yet affordable hats on offer. So she decided to start making her own. After training at London’s Kensington & Chelsea College, she launched Bundle MacLaren Millinery back in 2009 from her colourful kitchen in Battersea.

“My dream when I started was to make beautiful hats at affordable prices and I’ve worked really hard to stay true to that goal. Beautiful hats don’t have to cost the earth.”

Initially trading on London’s famous Portobello Road, Bundle quickly attracted an impressive following and word swiftly spread… so much so that by the time the Royal Wedding was announced just 18 months later, she emerged as one of the most sought after milliners and her bespoke designs were worn by over a dozen special guests in Westminster Abbey.

Fast-forward another four years and Bundle MacLaren Millinery operates by appointment from a beautiful, large showroom in Fulham, London where clients flock to try on the colourful, bold array of hats on display. In the run up to Ascot, stylish ladies from all over the world descend on the studio with their carefully chosen outfits to ensure they commission a perfect match and a show stopping hat that will steer attention away from the racecourse.

“We’re obsessed with delivering the best possible service to our clients. Unlike most milliners, we can make almost every design in any colour combination so clients always get their dream hat.”

As well as their formal headpieces suitable for weddings, Royal Ascot etc, BMM also has a bridal collection plus a range of everyday hats so clients no longer need the excuse of a special occasion to treat themselves. The casual pieces include a beautiful array of winter trilbies, elegant fedoras and super chic sun hats. Made from the finest materials and made to measure, they’re a world apart from their high street competitors. Clients get to choose every aspect of their hat from the colour and style to the material and trim - they are truly unique and bespoke.

Hot off the press is the Florence Collection for 2016 which includes a heady mix of bold, contemporary and feminine pieces. From a floral ice cream to a gilded birdcage, and a butterfly boater to a floating sparkling feather… these are designs which make the heart beat a little faster and are ideal for those wanting to make a memorable entrance and leave a lasting impression.

This year also sees the launch of the “Dare to Dream” range – an opportunity for clients to design a truly show-stopping creation during a 6–8 week collaboration
