The Transformation Coach Company Information
General information
Hey! I’m Kate (mentally waving at you)
A Sport Scientist, personal trainer, Pilates instructor and nutritionist dedicated to helping you transform your body, mind & way of life.
I got into this whole “fitness thing” when I was a little girl, long before it became trendy to give a detailed #description of your #workout on Instagram. My Mum has had Rheumatoid Arthritis since she was 18 years old. It is an autoimmune disease that causes pain, inflammation, swelling in the joints and immobility – it is greatly affected by your overall weight and the food you eat. As a result, from a young age, I knew staying in shape and looking after my body was essential.
When I was deciding what to study at University, I swung between doing a Sport Science degree and becoming a chef. As you can guess, I swung with Sport Science and have been swinging with it ever since. My thinking was that if I knew how the human body worked and functioned, I would always have the knowledge to keep myself in shape and look after my body – little did I know that I’d use my knowledge and experience to help other people, and find my calling in life through it. I was made to help people. The human body and all it’s fascinatingly intricate processes is my passion but helping people transform their bodies with that knowledge is the spark to the greatest fulfilment I have ever known.
and....
I have a degree in Sport Science, a full Pilates Instructor qualification in both mat Pilates and equipment Pilates and I know how to make macaroons - successfully.
I captained the Junior Women’s National squash team for Zimbabwe at the World Championships in Hong Kong.
I have the sweetest French Bulldog – his name is Gus. His favourite thing is when my client’s come over for dinner parties so he can play with them.
I’ve successfully reached the Summit of both Mt. Kilimanjaro (5,895m) in Tanzania and Mt. Elbrus (5,642m) in Russia. I intend to climb Acongagua (6,962m) in Argentina.
I have competed in a Fitness Competition – the WBFF in London. It took me 11 weeks to transform my body to be able to step on stage and be truly proud of what I had accomplished.
I helped get the South African Olympic Gymnastic and Rowing team ready for the 2012 Olympic Games, while I was studying in South Africa.
Hugs and loves,
Kate
P.S. Becoming a chef is still in my life plan somewhere… I just practice my skills in the meantime by making healthy adaptions of indulgent recipes for my clients and life partner, Christopher.
