General information
Our intentions of re-opening of the old Mission Smith Wigglesworth, renowned healing evangelist of Bradford, England, is to see this vibrant ministry of Smith and Polly resurrected. Their ministry at Bowland Street Mission was from 1884 to 1919 and in that time they saw at least 50 people a week come to faith in Jesus. Smith and Polly would feed the hungry and homeless and say “your flesh is now fed, come back this Sunday and we’ll feed your spirit too”. We believe this was at the heart of Smith and Polly’s ministry and it should be the heart of ours as well. It has been well documented that Smith witnessed outstanding miracles which included raising the dead, instant healing of cancer, limbs growing, the lame walked and many others. This amazed the world then and now. Nearly 70 years after his death people are still encouraged by his ministry based in the Bowland Street Mission, and latterly the four corners of the earth. Obviously, we know its not about a building but Pastor Vincent Mann heard Gods audible voice saying “take back My land, this Bowland Street Mission”. Smith Wigglesworth in 1947, just before his death, gave a prophetic word that there was a revival coming which would over shadow (eclipse) all the former great revivals and the gospel would be preached in all the earth and then the end would come.
Many people have tried to acquire this abandoned mission hall and for whatever reason, failed, but now many years later after much prayer and a 40 day fast, God opened the doors. Pastor Vincent Mann then asked the Lord for confirmation through His word, his bible opened randomly at Mathew 24v14, and the gospel will be preached in all the earth and then the end will come. This lined up with the 1947 Smith Wigglesworth prophecy, so with that confirmation things were set in motion to obtain “The pearl of great price”. What we hope to achieve is to see first and foremost souls won to the Lord by helping the poor, feeding the homeless, setting the captives (addicts) free, a vibrant bible school and ordination for those who qualify, alongside a new church network programme.
