Perth City Counselling & Psychotherapy is a private practice located in central Perth, in Scotland. It is a client-led service, believing in each client's uniqueness and that, therefore, no 'one size fits all'. I believe in tailoring each counselling session after your needs, wishes, beliefs, values and experiences. I also believe that mental health support should be as accessible and affordable as physical health support, like personal training, physio-therapy etc. and I therefore try to keep my fees as low as possible, offering a student discount as well.

Perth City Counselling & Psychotherapy is a strong advocate for removing stigma around mental health - we all have it and most of us lose it for a period of time throughout life, much like our physical health. We are complex human beings with complex lives, living in a complex society and world, and yet, we're seldom taught how to deal with our emotional problems, leading to 'problems in living'.

If you're struggling with the flu, or fear you've broken your leg, you're encouraged to seek medical attention quickly and without shame, doubts or stigma. Struggles with our emotional wellness or even fearing a broken mind should not be treated any differently. After all, we spent hundreds of pounds on a physical wellbeing and appearance - why not invest time and money in your mental strength, wellbeing and overall life satisfaction and happiness? In my opinion, a healthy and happy mind looks far more attractive than any external factors.

I believe we can all benefit from talking to someone at one point in our lives or another, in a deep and meaningful way, being able to express ourselves freely and not worry about social norms or being overly polite. Counselling offer such a platform - a talking therapy, where you'll do the talking and I'll do the listening.
