SARA Wyre Forest Company Information
General information
SARA Wyre Forest is staffed entirely by volunteers and receives no statutory funding to provide its lifesaving services to the communities it serves locally and nationally.
Our Mission Statement is:
"To preserve life and property through the provision of a professionally trained specialist rescue service for marine and land search incidents".
1973 - SARA Founded at Tutshill nr Beachley.
1976 - Became a registered Charity
1985 - Became a Mountain Rescue Team
1986 - Sharpness Station opens (2nd station)
2005 - Wyre Forest Station Opened (3rd Station)
2007 - Tewkesbury Station Opens (4th Station)
2016 - Newport Station opens (a satelite station of Beachley).
