Core Clapton

General information

Core Clapton is a charitable initiative founded by Danny Orchard and Duncan Webster, two entrepreneurial Osteopaths with a mission to make Osteopathy accessible to everyone.

Using hands-on manipulation of tissues to restore health and function, Osteopathy helps to alleviate pain and suffering from all manner of disorders. From common back and neck pain from the use of a laptop to arthritis and sports injuries, Osteopathy can help restore the body's natural balance. But, more than that, at Core Clapton we want to give you the tools to keep your body working to its full potential by providing a good understanding of how your body works and promoting activities and habits for a healthier lifestyle.

As well as osteopathy, Core Clapton is a sociable collaborative space for all things health and well-being related, events and learning.

Holistic - way before the term was trendy - osteopathy has been side-lined as 'complementary' for far too long and Danny and Duncan have a vision to one day make this available for everyone on the NHS. We believe healthcare should not just be about treating the symptoms but rather getting to the source of the problem, or better still, preventing it in the first place. Drugs and surgery play an essential role in our healthcare system but it shouldn’t be the only option.

Danny has been an Osteopath for over a decade and works with undergraduates teaching best practice and promoting excellence in the industry. One of the founding principles of Core Clapton is that everything we do will be informed by evidence and as such everybody, from our osteopaths to our members, will take part in building this database.

We provide expert mentoring to newly qualified osteopaths giving them the skills needed to be the best that they can. In turn, they volunteer their time which allows us to make the cost of treatment affordable to all. The cost of a half hour treatment session will range from £35 to £15 depending on your financial situation (RRP is £55 in London). Plus we’re committed to providing research that will one day make osteopathy available on the NHS - so by accepting this subsidised rate we expect our members to be committed to helping take part in our research (anonymity and time constraints obviously taken into consideration).
