General information
Founded in 2010 Media Academy Cardiff (MAC) is a voluntary organisation working with over 1500 Children and young people from across SE Wales. Many of the young people that access MAC have multiple barriers which they need to overcome in order to reach their potential. Our chosen method of engaging young people includes high impact media opportunities including music, video and photography and a bespoke Men's Barber in Churchill Way Cardiff City Centre. Operating from six locations across South Wales, the team challenges all young people to make positive choices and positive transitions in their lives. All of MAC’s services and programmes are underpinned by restorative practices and in 2016 the organisation was awarded the RSQM kite mark.
