Our Vision

Connect individuals, groups and transform communities to create a sustainable environment in which all are proud to live, learn, play and work. We will create growth opportunities through support, capacity building and social economy initiatives to sustain regeneration in the Greater Lisburn area through building connections and alliances to positively influence decisions that will affect the communities.

Aims

To encourage thrift and promote systematic savings by encouraging members to save each week.
To eliminate usury and increase the purchasing power of its members by enabling them to borrow money at low interest rates.
To train and educate its members in business methods and self-government and to help them to realise the value of cooperation and mutual support.
To promote democracy by operating through a Board of Directors, Credit Committee and Supervisor Committee, elected by and from its members.
To create alternative personal financial services in the community and the place of work under the ownership and direction of its members.

New Horizons Credit Union is affiliated to the Ulster Federation of Credit Unions

New Horizons Credit Union is part of the
Resurgam Trust which is a social enterprise group
governed by an unpaid board of volunteer directors.
All Profits made by the Trust are invested back into
local projects.
