The Soundscape Park Project is a permanent sound installation in the newly built Bridge Community Garden in Belfast.
Hidden loudspeakers all around the garden will immerse the visitor in sound. Walk into another world with the sound of the jungle, or crashing ocean waves, sounds of children playing, or even the sounds of Central Park New York!
Technology is used to make the garden interactive with its visitors. Sensors and computer software can activate sounds all around the park making each visit completely unique.
Sound artists and software engineers from the Sonic Arts Research Centre at Queen’s University Belfast will be running the project. With the involvement from SARC, a world leader in this area, the Soundscape Park Project promises to be an exciting and different experience!
