Ardess seeks to be a church where we try to live out the great commission (Matthew 28:18-19)
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and the great commandment ( Mark12:30-31)
30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[a] 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] There is no commandment greater than these.”
This sums up the challenge of living out the christian life in a way that will make a difference to the world around us. The easy option in our society is to live in the world but the rewards for stepping out in faith and living for God are beyond our wildest dreams.
