To provide interactive harp music sessions to individuals and groups.

In todays world a lot of people are bored and isolated. Many people are unable to engage in meaningful activity due to health, disability of emotional difficulties. From the harp delivers live interactive harp music sessions for all, providing therapeutic and engaging activity.

To provide meaningful activity in care homes that the NICE Quality Standard (QS50) ‘Mental Wellbeing of Older People in Care Homes’ states should be available for the health and wellbeing of these clients.
To provide an occupational therapy service for those people going through cancer diagnosis and treatment including, fatigue management, pain management, personal hygiene strategies, meditation, relaxation, healthy meal planning, sleep, routine, changes to lifestyle and environment.

From the harp is unique combining occupational therapy and harp therapy. From the harp delivers meaningful and therapeutic activity through harp playing for individuals and groups, allowing people to be creative and communicate without words through music making.

Delivered by Alice an occupational therapist and harp therapist in your home or facility, with groups and individuals. Sessions can boost confidence and self esteem, develop skills like turn taking, sequencing, impulse control and motor skills. Harps and percussion instruments will be used to stimulate and engage all group members.

From the harp mainly works with older adults with dementia and physical health difficulties, but is also available to work with learning disability groups, cancer support groups, and youth groups. Lullaby sessions for babies and their care givers are coming soon.
