Alex Thomson Racing also known as the HUGO BOSS Sailing Team.

Alex Thomson is one of Britain's most talented sailors. Competing in the IMOCA 60 class, Alex has been sponsored by HUGO BOSS since 2003, making their relationship one of the longest and most coveted in sailing and sports sponsorship history.

In November 2012 Alex set off in the Vendee Globe, known as the worlds toughest offshore sailing race: solo, unassisted, non-stop around the Globe and the 'Everest' of offshore yacht racing.

Alex crossed the finish line in 3rd place on January 30th 2013 becoming the fastest Brit to sail single-handedly, non-stop, around the world in 80days, 19hours and 23minutes!

2017 saw Alex 2nd across the finish line, made more dramatic by a collision with an unidentified object in the water on day 13 at sea.
The race-ending damage to the boat caused the starboard foil to break and a grueling battle to the very end.
Alex completed the race in an astonishing 74days, 19hours and 35minutes, breaking his own British record for the fastest solo circumnavigation of the globe in a monohull.

This further cements Alex as one of the top class offshore sailors in the world today, but he continues to pursue his goal of becoming the first Brit to win the Vendee Globe! The next Vendee Globe race starts in November 2020!
