Kiddywinks is situated in Horton Heath within easy access to the M27 close to Fair Oak, Bishopstoke, Hedge End, West End, Durley and Bishops Waltham.

For over a decade, Kiddywinks has been working closely with parents to deliver the highest quality nursery and early education for children aged from 3 months until they start school. We work hard each and every day to provide children with opportunities to learn, develop and grow (and have lots of fun along the way!) within a safe, loving environment.

Our nursery is light, bright and open planned, fully resourced to provide stimulating environments to meet the different needs of all the children we care for.

We have a beautiful fully enclosed, all-weather outdoor area where the children have many opportunities to play, explore and investigate.

All children have opportunities to climb and balance on logs, dig in the soil, explore the sand pit, ride scooters/bicycles on our paved area, hunt for bugs and mini beasts, grow vegetables in our growing area and enjoy many more valuable learning experiences.

We think of our garden area very much as an ‘outdoor classroom’ ensuring that children are able to access all areas of learning. For many children, the outdoor area is their preferred learning environment and we are able to extend activities on a much larger scale; using adult sized painting brushes for mark making, walking wellies through paint, experimenting with water, guttering and creates, to make water canals etc. We find that children feel more inspired when learning in a natural environment, which is why it is so important to us.

It is our belief that children should be able to access the outdoors as often as possible, therefore we use the garden area on a daily basis.

We believe that for small children, the best environment is one where they feel safe, loved and secure, surrounded by familiar faces and where all of their senses can be stimulated. But creating the perfect environment alone is not enough; we also believe it is the responsibility of your nursery to nurture and develop your child.

A child’s greatest capacity for learning starts from the day they are born until their 5th birthday. It is so important that children learn in these early years how to communicate and socialise with the people who share their world.
