Barons was founded in September 1998.The very first sale was opened by Tiff Needell on the 28th September 1998, where we offered a MK1 Jaguar that has been raced, by Tiff, a week earlier, at the very first Goodwood Revival.The main reason for establishing the company was to offer the classic car owner and would-be owner a better, more cost effective service and to bring the auction business into the 21st century.
Barons were the first auction house to offer on-line entry and our website is still among the most user friendly and fastest in the business.
The business was taken over by Peter Gascoigne and Tony Cavell in January 2015.
