General information
Mayfield Nurseries is a charitable social enterprise and a subsidiary of Solent Mind, the leading mental health charity in Hampshire. We support people with mental health issues and a range of people with different social care needs to gain work skills, improve motivation and to build confidence and self esteem through horticultural and retail work at the nursery.
Mayfield is a working nursery and it is vital to the service we raise income through the sale of plants and sundries at the nursery site and though offsite events. We work as a team to produce high quality stock for retail, the proceeds of which help sustain our valuable service.
We are much more than a social care service, we are based in the community for the community and welcome different groups to visit and enjoy what our nursery has on offer. We are also present at many events through the year in addition to holding our own which anyone can enjoy.
