History

In 1961, Mr Fred Leitner, living in Northfield Road, Stamford Hill, next door a bakery watched as each morning the staff would re-use the same tea towel to clean the trays. Frustrated about the cleanliness, or lack of, he set out purchasing 50 towels, which he hired to them and washed in the local launderette. From there, 10 tablecloths were added to the range and 50 years later we have 30,000 square feet of tablecloth, chair covers and yes even tea towels.

The Company

With 60 full time staff, Northfields looks after all aspects of table linen (even the manufacturing is down in house by its sister company www.cambricdistributors.co.uk). Its fleet of vehicles are a familiar sight along the streets of London, though we do deliver nationwide.

The Events

From the Brits to the Bafta’s, from large corporate Christmas events, to small family baby christening, sporting events and private dinners, Northfields is the first place to visit when beginning to plan a party.
