Our midwives offer safe, evidence-based care throughout the antenatal period, the birth and up to six weeks postnatally. Midwifery-led care is cost-effective, with excellent short and long terms outcomes.
Neighbourhood Midwives operates within a robust framework of clinical governance which meets regulatory and insurance requirements whilst maintaining flexibility of provision and choice.
Women can self-refer or be referred by their GP in any geographical area in which we have a practice (initially self funded but our goal is to be commissioned to give care through the NHS) . Our model shifts more care into the community, improving access to women, reducing unnecessary hospital admissions and freeing up acute services for women with complex medical needs.
