General information

GM Surveys was first established in April 1986 and, although we have remained a small company our client base and turnover have greatly increased over the years. This is partly due to our incredibly loyal customers who have come back to us time and time again. We have been working with some of them for over 25 years and we look after all their survey and setting out work plus much more. We are always looking for new methods to improve our services and are constantly researching new technology which will enable us to do this.
We became a member of The Survey Association in January 2010 and we have put several trainees through the ‘Introduction to Surveying’ course at The Survey School in Worcester. We have a wealth of experience working with Developers, Architects, Contractors, Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Estate Agents on a variety of projects including residential and commercial developments, schools and property management, flood risk assessments and movement monitoring.
Our current list of equipment includes Trimble R8 GPS receiver, Leica TS16 robotic total station with CS20 controller, Leica ICON robot 60 robotic total station with CC80 rugged 7” tablet PC and a Leica DNA03 digital level. We are using AIC’s N4ce software to process both survey and setting out data, MBS software and Kubit photo rectification software for measured building surveys and AutoCAD LT 2018 for final finishes before delivery to the client.
