General information
Ealing is recognised as the home of British Rhythm & Blues, a music scene that started thanks to Alexis Korner, Cyril Davies and their group Blues Incorporated. Musicians from British rock bands such as The Rolling Stones, Manfred Mann, The Animals, John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers, The Yardbirds, Cream, The Who all grew around the initial success and encouragement of Blues Incorporated.
At the end of the 60's Jimi Hendrix would purchase his guitar amps from the Marshall shop, just a couple of miles from the "Cradle of Rhythm & Blues" i.e The Ealing Club. Hanwell community centre hosted key rehearsals by Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and The Who. Regular live music is returning to Ealing, whose festivals have helped keep LIVE MUSIC where it is deserved. Come join us to celebrate future music history in West London.
