Talent Match London is a youth-led approach to supporting long-term unemployed young people into positive, productive futures.

Its aim is to get young people into jobs and to equip them with the skills, confidence and support to build a fulfilling career.

Talent Match London helps young people aged 18-24 who face the biggest barriers to getting work, including:
• Long term unemployment
• Parenting and caring responsibilities
• Disability or mental health problem
• Lack of qualifications

Recent research has shown there are almost 35,000 young people under 25 in London who are not in work, education or training, and who are not claiming any benefits. They are off the radar.

Talent Match London will support young people who have been out of work for a year or more. It operates across eleven London boroughs that have the greatest need including Croydon, Greenwich, Merton, and Southwark but with a particular focus in Barking and Dagenham, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest.

Talent Match London will run for five years from January 2014. London Youth has spent the past 18 months working with employers, training providers, local authorities, voluntary organisations and, most importantly, young people to design Talent Match London. The programme will be led by London Youth and delivered locally by a range of partners including Community Links, Collage Arts, Hackney CVS, Gingerbread, The Prince’s Trust and 3SC.
