Barbara Speake Stage School, founded in 1945 by Miss Barbara Speake MBE offers full time academic and artistic training to children aged 3-16.
Like all independent schools, children follow an academic syllabus, which includes, English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Drama and Expressive Arts, Art and IT. The academic programme runs on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
On a Thursday and Friday, students follow the artistic syllabus, which includes ballet, tap, modern, jazz, street dance, ensemble singing, solo singing, audition technique, acting, improvisation and more.

Students work towards examinations in dance and LCM (London College of Music) exams in Singing. LAMDA examinations are also taken and students regularly work towards various productions.
All students are also part of the Barbara Speake Stage School Agency and current and past students have been past of several West End shows including Matilda, The Lion King, Les Miserables, Oliver, Annie and Billy Elliot. Students are also regularly used in TV, film and adverts.
