The Radiant Hand

General information

Since the advent of yoga in the West, the emphasis of classes has often been on the physical, in isolation. Yoga taught at The Radiant Hand has been developed with an understanding that yoga comprises not only the physical, but also the philosophical and the spiritual. Our classes uphold the traditional values of yoga, yet convey these concepts in a form that can be digested by Western culture. All teachers at Radiant Hand integrate the physical aspects of yoga (asana or postures) with other practices and principles such as karma yoga (the yoga of selflessness), ahimsa (non-violence), pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation, chanting and the study of the Self and of the ancient texts (swadyaya).

We see yoga as an amazing tool to use throughout life and it continues to inspire us every single day. We live a life that is reflective of this here at The Radiant Hand, and our dedication to you as yoga teachers is to demonstrate the versatility and diversity of this tool, in the hope that you too will be inspired and then go on to share that inspiration with others.
