General information

We were established in 1998 and secured the local closed down library as part of the St Martins Estate stock transfer from the Lambeth Council to 3 Housing Associations. We delivered a range of adult learning provision at the centre and activities in response to the needs and priorities of local residents.

Ten years on we are established as a Community Anchor, we have been recognised as a preferred provider by Lambeth Adult Learning Services, and are an accredited centre for City and Guilds, UK Online, LOCON, Open College Network, and E-digital Competence.

We have also been awarded contracts to deliver Children Fund projects, and were appointed the Lead for the Being Healthy Group. More recently we worked with the Job Centre Plus, Lambeth Council and Stockwell Partnership on an innovative community led evaluation of the URBAN II European Funded program. We have also been awarded the Commissioning contract for Early Years to deliver adult learning in 15 Children Centres across south Lambeth.

We are working with South Bank Employers Group and Stockwell Resource Centre to facilitate the Lambeth Training and Employment Providers Network, and have a seat on the Economic Development Sub Group of Lambeth First, and on the Workforce Development Sub-group of the Children and Young Peoples Strategic Partnership.

We are currently exploring new areas of development including Princes Trust training programmes, a hub space for local groups and businesses at Burnel House Cyber Cycle Centre and after school provision for young people.
