Christ Church West Wimbledon

General information

Christ Church has a thriving musical tradition. Our strong, four-part adult choir sings at Sunday morning services and performs regular concerts. The choir boasts a broad and varied repertoire.

We also run a Junior Choir, which offers local children the chance to sing in a choir, as well as learn about good singing technique, music theory and music notation.

Everyone is welcome! You don't need to be able to read music or have sung in a choir before. You also don't need to be a regular church goer. The emphasis of both the choirs is to have fun, make friends, and sing music well!

The Director of Music at Chirst Church is Richard Hall.

He holds a first class honours degree in Music from King’s College London, where he was organ scholar and worked with the internationally acclaimed Chapel Choir.

Richard is an experienced music teacher and greatly enjoys working with children. He taught the organ in the Music Department at Hill House International Junior School and also teaches music privately.

He currently maintains a busy freelance career as a piano accompanist and teaches the piano with the Merton Music Foundation.
