Buxton School

General information

Buxton is an all-through 3-16 school at the southern end of Waltham Forest; on the borders of Newham. We serve a diverse community and achieve high results for all groups of pupils from a variety of backgrounds, including approximately 60 % for whom English is an additional language. With results improving year on year we have been able to expand and now have 4 forms of entry in the primary phase and six forms of entry from year 7 to 11. Pupils automatically transfer from year 6 to year 7, removing the tension of primary secondary transfer applications

We know that we can transform the learning of generations of children by having the full age range of children on one site, led by staff and supported by a community who share common values, learning and curriculum aims, policies and practices in an all-through school. We are fast becoming a leading edge learning community in the field of all-through education.
