General information

Share & Care is a homeshare organisation which specialises in placing live-in Sharers or live-out Visitors with Homeowners - often widows, widowers or elderly couples - who need some practical help and companionship. Not only providing a valuable service to Homeowners, it also relieves young professionals and students from some of their financial burden by helping with affordable accommodation and friendship, while giving something back to the community. It can therefore be rewarding and beneficial to both parties.

A live-in Sharer is a very low-cost way of having on-going help in the home, and company. The service offers Homeowners the reassurance of having someone sleeping in their house. Sharers have their normal job or studies, but when they are at home will give friendship and companionship. They will also undertake 10 hours of practical tasks during the week, such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, changing light bulbs or accompanying on outings.
London fees are £150 + VAT per month [ie total £180 per month], under £6 per day.
In other UK cities and London suburbs our fees are £125 + VAT per month [ie £150], under £5 per day.
In more rural country areas our fees are £100 + VAT per month [ie £120], under £4 per day.
Live-out Visitors available in Central London are ideal for those who only need a few hours help each week, who don't have a spare bedroom, or who prefer the privacy of living on their own. Live-out Visitors offer a flexible approach to having practical help and companionship; it's up to the Homeowner to decide how many hours they'd like their Visitor to come each week, and what practical help they may need during that time.
