General information

In 1977 George took ownership of two shops on Hook Rise South, a cafe and a small tropical fish shop next door which had 35 small tanks. Within the first year he added a further shop to his empire and knocked the three shops (now five) into one to create one of the largest aquatic shops in the U.K.

The business has continued to grow, and today George employs full and part time staff. George’s daughter Donna has been working in the shop since she was 14 and with 11 years experience and training she is now the main manager. Between all the staff at Lynwood Aquatics they can offer advice and information about any queries or issues you have with your fish, plants, tanks, and lots more.

Now with a new manager and the shop undergoing a revamp now more than ever is the time to come and visit. Lynwood Aquatics prides itself in the basics of fish keeping both for the customer and the fish, especially the quality of water that our stock is kept in and the water that is sold to you the customer.
In addition to the workshop, building custom made aquariums, there is a vast collection of accessories and books.
We also design, install and maintain aquariums for customers, both domestic and corporate.
Together, this makes one of the best aquatic outlets, catering for the novice starting out in a new hobby to the advanced aquarist.
