General information

Indiesonics is a production music company based in London specialising in authentic indie music for media.

Our emphasis is on real bands, in real studios working with highly experienced engineers and producers to craft organic music that isn’t purely brief or trend driven but reflects their individuality and character. Here’s a small selection of videos by our artists featuring a few of the tracks we represent so you can see and hear the difference.

Our artists have featured many times on National Radio including: BBC Radio1, BBC Radio 6, XFM They have had national accolades including single of week in the NME, single of the week on BBC radio 6, album of the year in The Independent newspaper and single of the week in the Guardian newspaper.

Before we launched one of our tracks was nominated for Library Music of The Year award Woodland BIue (Gold). In 2015 we were nominated for two more Library music of The Year Awards for Paper trails (Best Folk track) and Luma (Best Wildcard track).

Malcolm Clark (indiesonics tracks include Always and Forever Changes - beautiful modern psychedelia.) Malcolm is an Australian producer/musician, and member of acclaimed Australian indie band Sleepy Jackson

Tim Bidwell:
Specialises in avant-garde folk/acoustic music. He records and produces in his own studio Clockwork Owl in Brighton. Tim produced Kate Walsh's first no.1 album (funnily enough called Tim's House asthat was where she recorded it).
Tim's Indiesonics tracks include:CORDELIA GARTSIDE Setting North (gentle delicate contemplative acoustic track with cellos and violins), and WOODLAND BLUE Gold (NuFolk Male/Female duet with banjos, acoustics and pedal steel –ideal uplifting, building road movie track. Nominated for best FolkLibrary Track 2014 LMA)

BEN HAMPSON’S production/engineer credits include: Noel Gallagher, Bloc Party, Noisettes. Selected Indiesonics track is ERGOSCHMIDT’S Hearts And Minds (dynamic full on indie rocker witty and twistedwithhints of psychedelia)

PAUL TIPLER’S production engineer credits include The Horrors, Stereolab, Placebo, Idlewild, Elastica, Julian Cope, The Charlatans,Pop Will Eat Itself, Fun-Da- Mental, Transglobal Underground, ThePaleSaints. JUNK SCIENTIST: Production engineer credits incude Tim Simenon Bomb The Bass, Martin Rossiter, The Rakes and Larrikin Love. Selected Indiesonics tracks: BIRD PARLIAMENT’s Whip Your Tail(stomping,sexy,uplifting garage rock - great positivity); THIS IS RADIO FREEDOM’s Burst Into Flames (an incendiary garage rock track,already proving a favourite with games developer clients for its take no hostages qualities).

One of the key strengths of our catalogue is that the tracks are strong enough to act as featured tracks on high-end productions. Our natural niche is commercials/film/tv slots looking for a featured stamp of authenticity and character.

For media with voiceovers requiring more transparent or less dense music we have some beautifully recorded alt/folk and indie folk tracks and are about to release a couple of albums of textural organic indie by noted indie songwriters like Wojtek Godzisz (main songwriter with indie punk pop band Symposium)

We believe that if you include music as any part of your production featured or background it defines the mood of that work so it pays to use the real stuff. The musicians that we work with don't do pastiche, they write from the heart which is the only way to have character and individuality.You can hear the difference.
