General information
The CWO provides a focus and support for every women in the Conservative Party. It gives a forum for women of all ages, backgrounds and from all parts of the country to meet, discuss issues and work together.
All women members of the Conservative Party are entitled to become members of CWO – and many of our women activists also hold positions in the Party's mainstream organisation.
Our nationwide network provides a mechanism to discuss issues, as well as to compare and collect ideas from the grassroots on matters that concern everyone. This invaluable information helps shape policy and influences how the Conservative Party campaigns for our communities.
We also carry out training. We help and encourage women who wish to stand for office, whether it be in the voluntary party, or as councillors or as candidates, whether at Westminster or Brussels. We work closely with the Shadow Minister for Women as well as with other parts of the Party, especially the mainstream voluntary party and Conservative Future.
