Jawbone is an independent publisher of books about music and popular culture.
Based in London, England, we began publishing our titles in the US and the UK in January 2007. Highlights to date include books by XTC’s Andy Partridge, Mike Scott of The Waterboys, Yes/King Crimson drummer Bill Bruford, David J. Haskins of Bauhaus, and Behemoth frontman Adam ‘Nergal’ Darski, as well as works of focused analysis and criticism of a wide range of bands and musicians, from David Bowie to Tiny Tim, Lee Hazlewood to Jeff Buckley, the Bee Gees to Wire, and many more.
Our 2017 list includes a memoir by the late great Dan Hicks, comprehensive studies of post-rock and guitar shredding, and a pair of books looking in detail at two landmark intersections of music and film: the disco inferno of Saturday Night Fever and the otherworldliness of The Man Who Fell To Earth (starring David Bowie in his first big-screen role).
