St Luke’s Church Peckham

General information

St Lukes Church Peckham is the parish church in North Peckham that seeks to live and promote the spiritual path of following Christ. We seek to be a loving and caring in what are difficult times, seeking the common good in terms of economic, ecological, social and housing justice.

We are also what some call a 'mixed ecology' church celebrating different ethnic groupings including West African, West Indian, South American and European cultures. As a mixed economy church we have birthed a number of fresh expressions of church including a New Monastic Community called the Wellspring community seeking to promote Christian contemplative spirituality and progressive theology, and in the process of setting up a youth church.

As a Church community we are at the progressive catholic and sacramental tradition highly influenced by different cultures, but with a generous orthodoxy that welcomes all those of faith or none.
