Dalits are an oppressed people considered 'untouchable' by the caste system. 250,000 Dalits live in the UK & face prejudice daily. We want to change this.
DSN-UK actively works to outlaw caste discrimination - something faced daily by many UK Dalits. We aim to bring equality to the divided South Asian community by raising awareness in society and campaigning government.
DSN-UK is part of the International Dalit Solidarity Network (IDSN) based in Denmark . We work closely with organisations in Asia such as the National Campaign for Dalit Human Rights as well as other national Dalit Solidarity Networks in Europe.
